jennifer aniston tutorial
from
to
+ made in photoshop CS. uses curves & selective coloring so it's not translatable...
1. prepare your base.
2. then i used this tutorial by
g_a_fanatik
3. before i flatten it, i duplicate the base twice. the first is set to screen with 100% opacity & the 2nd one to soft light with 44% opacity. i also changed the blending mode of the soft light purple layer to overlay.
4. flatten the image.
it should now look like this:
5. take the polygonal lasso tool. set your feathering to 1 or 2 and cut your subject.
it should now have a transparent background
6. add texture of your choice below the cut subject. for this i used:
by
77words
to make it brighter, i duplicated it thrice and set the first 2 to soft light (both with 100% opacity) and the last one to multiply (71% opacity)
now it looks like this:
7. work on your subject. see that cursive little "f" button on the lower left side of the layers window? (sorry i don't know what to call it - if you do, please tell me. i would be really grateful) anyways, click that & pick drop shadow.
match your settings to mine:
opacity: 65
angle: 4
distance: 2
size: 8
click OK
it should now have a shadow peering out...
8. for the finishing touches, i open two tiny text textures by sorry-i-fogot (but if you know who made them, please tell me & i'll give credit)
and
9. i add a new layer to the 1st texture, i fill it with EEBB92 and set it to screen. for the 2nd texture, i used the same steps but fill it with 936844 and sharpen it. flatten both textures.
they should now look like:
and
10. add the textures to the base. set both of them to multiply.
11. flatten it & we're done!
here's the final product:
